The Jersey Shore Beach Day Food Guide (From Your Neighborhood Deli)

A beach day at Ocean Grove, Bradley Beach, or Asbury Park has three enemies: traffic, seagulls, and a soggy sandwich. We can't help with the first two. The third one? That's our specialty.

We're five minutes from the beach in Neptune, and every summer weekend we pack coolers' worth of food for families heading to the sand. Here's what actually works on a beach blanket.

The Subs That Hold Up

Cold subs are built for the beach — no reheating, no fuss. Our whole subs come cut and wrapped, and one whole feeds two hungry swimmers. Beach favorites: the #1 Classic Italian (ham, capicola, salami, pepperoni, provolone — $19.99 whole) and the #4 Turkey ($19.99 whole). Everything comes "with everything on them" unless you say otherwise.

Pro move for the cooler: ask for oil and vinegar on the side. Dress it on the blanket and the bread stays perfect.

Don't Forget the Sides

Our homemade salads travel like champions — macaroni salad, potato salad, coleslaw, tri-color pasta. Made fresh in house, scooped at the counter. Grab a couple of containers and watch them disappear before the sandwiches do.

The Play

Call ahead at 732.361.3561 on your way out the door — 502 Waverly Ave, Neptune, right off Route 66. Your order's ready when you pull up, and you're toes-in-sand twenty minutes later. Open at 8 AM every day except Wednesday.
